Having multiple brightness and color temperature settings are nice as is the extra dim night light setting. Large flat emitter head produces a nice uniform non-glare light source. As others have said the lightweight base does not permit good balance for a fully extended arm. It will tip over. But I have not had to extend it that far for my setups. Overall it is well designed. However long term longevity if you flex it a lot, remains to be seen.
