Kenmore DU2015 Bagless Upright Vacuum Lightweight Carpet Cleaner with 10’Hose, HEPA Filter, 4 Cleaning Tools for Pet Hair, Hardwood Floor, Red

My husband and I just replaced our carpet with a high quality 25 year plush carpet and love it! We purchased the home with a pre-existing carpenter grade carpet and my Shark Sweeper was just perfect for the job. However, the plush carpet is another beast that definitely required a higher quality vacuum for the job. I looked at Shark and Dyson but did not want to spend that much money on a higher quality vacuum. I am a Gen X lady and saw that there was a Kenmore Vacuum available for less money and several attachments were included for no additional charge. The Kenmore brand was carried by Sears and had a stellar reputation for quality "back in the day". While Sears no longer exists the brand was picked up by another manufacturer and boy I am thankful they did. I hate to say it but Shark doesn't have a thing on this model of Kenmore vacuum!!!!! Three main things on this vacuum that I love with one possible CON: 1. The canister on the vacuum is very easy to empty with nothing inside for debris to get caught on... Because NO ONE WANT TO STICK THERE HAND IN THE DEBRIS CANISTER!!!!!!! AND it can be emptied with one hand - which might be helpful for some folks. 2. When you need the extension for cleaning it is very easy to access and use. This may sound like I am being picky but I had a very difficult time getting the extension off of the (Shark vacuum) which I use almost every time I use the vacuum. The extension can be accessed and used with one hand as well. 3. Ease of Assembly - Only 1 screw to attach the handle to the vacuum - The screw is large and easy to handle so if you have issues with manual dexterity you should be fine. Possible Con: If there are any draw backs it would be the weight which was 6 lbs heavier than my other vacuum at 14 lbs. However, my new carpet requires a more power. If you just need the vacuum for the main floor and your stay on that main floor you should be fine.

I am very pleased with the performance and quality of this product. Also the price is great for the amount this thing picks up. It has multiple filters and is easy to setup and use. And the light is a good feature. It just eats the dust up

I'm old and live in a small place. I needed an inexpensive vacuum that was light, easy to push and had good suction. I tried a bottom of the line at another manufacturer, but it did not have a height adjustment and it stuck to the floor when I turned it on. NOT GOOD. The second was not good. So, I ordered this Kenmore. When the package came, I noticed the weight was substantial without being heavy, good start. The machine is easy to put together, easy to use, has a height adjustment and it sucks. More good signs. Strong, easy, light enough is just what I wanted. The wand extension is an interesting part. It has an adjustable nozel that has a release so it can convert from narrow to brush to open. I love it. The "hair" brush off attachment suction driven and has a little rotating brush inside operated by a rubber band, that wasn't working. There are a bunch of parts inside that aren't attached to anything. When I opened it a pile of parts fell onto the table. It took my shaky hands an hour to figure out gmhow to put it back together. There are a couple other improvements that could be made for ergonomics and convenience. There is only 1 clip for tool storage. It's supposed to clip onto the handle and the tool clips into the clip it doesn't work and won't hold the extension or any tool conveniently. So the attachments can't be stored on the machine. The chord position means I have to bend way over to to wind the chord onto the holder. My back doesn't like that . Over all it's a nice machine and I recommend it. NOTE: I bought the extended warranty. There were some complaints about ability, so I paid the extra 15 bucks for peace of mind, in case it dies in 6 months.

Let’s set the scene. I have mostly wood floors, tile in the kitchen, bathrooms, and dining, and high pile carpet in 3 bedrooms. I currently own a Shark vacuum. It was nearly impossible to push the shark around the carpet and rugs without adjusting the suction. I felt that if I adjusted for less suction, I lost cleanliness on the carpet and rugs. I do like my shark but it’s a pain sometimes. I bought this Kenmore mainly for my shop, which I do a lot of woodworking in. Once I received this vacuum, I thought I would try it in the house first. If I liked it better, I’d use the shark for the shop. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I will be keeping it for the house. Pros: I was amazed at how light it was and the ease of movement. Suction was perfect! Easily maneuvered around the carpet and rugs without the beater bar getting stuck. It did a fantastic job pulling any hair and dirt out of the carpet and the other flooring. I had no problem with it blowing hair around like others have stated. I have a Great Dane, a main coon, and a black tabby cat. Its sleek and compact design REALLY helped with getting under the edges of the kitchen cabinets, coffee table and the sofa table. My shark would get jammed under due to its higher profile. The power switch allows you to use the beater bar or not. That’s a nice feature for such an inexpensive vacuum. Cons: As always, the cord could be longer. There is no front light to see the floor in front of you, but who vacuums in the dark. I did have issues with the attachment falling out of it’s holder, a lot. That was slightly frustrating. In conclusion, this compact vacuum was worth the buy and try. The price was hard to beat and I’m certainly glad that I purchased it.

I've had this vacuum for just a little less than a year and I don't think I've ever been so let down by a purchase. Please don't waste your money. I bought this vacuum after trying to do some research on a mid grade vacuum and discovering Amazon would let me pay monthly. I've never had anything more fancy than a cheap $50 or less one and was hopeful that this vacuum was going to be amazing unfortunately it's a piece of junk. maybe the hair eliminater works okay enough but as I write this review it's sitting there broken, the rotating brush no longer turning and I can't even get into it to see if it's the belt because the condition it was sent to me in was one of which that one of the screws was stripped. Before this let down this vacuum gets clogged up so easily it was a pain but I dealt with it constantly and the hose to it has even separated from the rest of the vacuum so now before using it I have to shove the pieces back together and just hope it stays. I honestly thought the bad reviews I had seen on this vacuum where people over exadurating because I've delt with cheap vacuums typically it's nothing for me to unclog a vacuum deal with little problems and just keep going but this vacuum absolutely is worse than a cheap one and will not last as long I've unfortunately leaned my lesson. Absolutely a lesson I couldn't afford but hopefully others won't have to waste this much money

I researched and researched this here same vacuum but the Bissell i wanted the bissell but 400 bucks for a vucuum no thanks!!! they have this same vacuum so i need the no brush roll for my dog and needed tools for couches and wanted the filter so for Bissell u get all that for 400.00 or you can get no brush roll and tools for 200.00 and so on and so on so like i said i needed all and not at 400 waited to see sale nope so then came across this i know this brand i like this brand is it as good probably not but for the price and what you want or me which was all of it this was it a brand ive trusted i get everything i wanted and at a price that was better then i expected had it for while now and theres one feature i didnt know which is the swivel head its great! This is a great vacuum i was useing a little Bissell in my room thinking it did the job till i bought this i vacuum my room and it filled the bucket i was shocked the fact how dirty my floor actually was from that little vacuum gross am a clean freak!! So yeah but this thing it got it all dirt dog hair dust!!!! The sucknees of it sorry cant spell it is great sucks great the filter system works only thing is the plastic its made from is cheap you drop this down your stairs and its done but all in all this thing is great tools are great the swivel head is a nice touch no cord rewind which is fine i hate lazy people! Oh and love no brush roll no dog hair at all on your roll!! Its great you never have to cut that crap out again does it for you! This is worth it! Update didnt last a year should have spent the extra 200 for the name brand junk!!

Wow, do I ever love my new Kenmore vacuum! It is powerful yet super lightweight and maneuverable. I had an old (and very heavy) Bissell that served me well for over 25 years but this Kenmore has me sold! My carpet is getting vacuumed all the time because now it is just plain fun!

I love everything about this vacuum. The suction is great, the floor level button is sturdy, easy to put together, the pet vacuum attachment is nice and sturdy, not cheaply made like others, the hose connects to the machine very well with a button, and I am in love with the vintage green color. It is heavier than I thought it would be, but I do not mind, as it is very well made and sturdy. It is loud though, but I am used to using a rechargeable stick vacuum, so just have to get used to it. I have mostly hardwood floors, and I did have to place the level to medium low, as the brush sqeeked a bit on the floor on the low position, but it still did the job. I used the same level on my berber carpeted room and it worked perfectly. Absolutely in love with this vacuum!

Powerful vacuum Great suction Great quality plastic Kenmore vacuum beats dyson, big time with its double motor. Buy it and you won’t be disappointed Purchased it because I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. It picks up hair unbelievably and it has good rotation so easy to use. I am soo happy that I found Kenmore again.!! When you will take it out of the box, you will see that the quality of it is undeniable.

GAVE FEW PROBLEMS BUT WORKS

Why can’t I give this no stars? I ordered it from Amazon.ie for a house in Donegal, Ireland. It shipped from Florida to UK, and then to Ireland. It looked great when we opened it until we looked at the stupid little two-prong plug! Oh yeah! This vacuum is 120 volt US current rated! Only way to use it would be to drag around an expensive 240-120 converter from room to room. And they don’t last long.

Works well - as I said in the headline very, very maneuverable! Suction is great and very easy to use. Great attachments.
