VetriScience Senior 27+ Active Health Chews, Nu Cat Daily Multivitamin for Senior Cats, Balanced Vitamins, Minerals and Antioxidants, Healthy Aging and Wellness Support, Fish, 30 Count

My vet recommended a senior cat multivitamin to potentially help improve my pet's bloodwork. I will update once I get the next few test results. For now, I will say that while some users complained about the smell and their cat rejecting the supplement, I have had no problems. The smell is similar to Fortiflora, which I sprinkle on my cat's food to make it more appetizing. Since figuring out he can get these each day my pet has begun asking for it first thing in the morning, as soon as he sees me up. He seizes on it with gusto and I'm sure he'd try to eat more of them if they were allowed. In this respect they're already serving my 19 year old cat quite well.

I have a large diabetic 14 y/o kitty I started giving him these vitamins. It is almost intangible, but I know they are doing something positive. Going on my 6th or 7th bag. Just wish they stayed whole instead of getting a lot of crumbs.

I ordered these because I have a bag of "Composure" chews by VetriScience Labs and my cats love them. My vet has been wanting my one cat to take a multivitamin and I haven't had any success in getting vitamins in her, even the gravy-type in a tube that my vet says all the pets love. So when I realized she loved the Composure chews, I figured she'd also love the multivitamin chew by VetriScience. They look the same as the Composure chews, but they smell kind of strong and 'vitamin-ey' and she practically ran from it when I tried to give it to her. I hadn't even tried to give one to my second cat, but when I was taking the pics for this review, she came up and started sniffing at it in my hand, so I put it down in front of her. She licked at it for awhile, then left it. Nevertheless, I felt like I had to give them at least 4 Stars for the nutritional value. Maybe some cats love the flavor, mine are just picky. The price is good, the nutritional stats are good, and they come in a convenient chew.

When I originally got these, I was surprised how small the package was, but then I thought they are just vitamins. Upon opening, I noticed the vitamins were variable sizes, some whole and some in prices making it difficult to determine how many prices equal a whole for an adequate dosage size. Both of ny cats love these cat vitamins, they think they are cat treats. They come running when they hear me open the bag! They must love the flavor. There is also a resealable closure on the bag to ensure freshness of the vitamins, which is nice. Overall, the vitamins are different sizes which is a result of the whole vitamins being broken. They are slightly moist as opposed to hard dry cat treats we often get which I think makes them more enticing to the cats, who seem to love these. I would give these 4.5 stars if the vitamins were whole and not crumbled, about half are broken into pieces unfortunately.

My cat likes these vitamins. They are soft, aromatic, and apparently tasty. His whiskers become fluffier quickly, and the quality of his fur improves. I’m buying them for the third time already. The only minor drawback is that they are fragile. The package contains a lot of small broken pieces rather than whole fish. For me, this isn’t a problem, but for some, it might be difficult to determine the correct single dose. This is just a friendly heads-up for other buyers.

I was hoping my cats would go for these, but the smell turned them off. One cat refuses to go near them, and the other cat will later return and begrudgingly eat one if she’s hungry enough. Since these specify one a day, I only put one out for the cat.

Hard to say how effective these vitamins are, but my cat loves the taste,and I feel better hoping my cat is being well cared for, she is 20.

My cat won't touch these vitamins, she will sniff them and quickly turn away. If I try to put it in her food she'll refuse to eat her food as well.

Sadly my cat wouldn’t eat them, I gave them to a friend maybe her old cat might benefit. They smelled very strong of vitamin and I couldn’t even hide the little vitamin bite between food, because he wouldn’t then touch his food. It’s not your fault but maybe because cats are so scent sensitive something a little less obvious? I’m sure they’re great and would have been wonderful if he’d eat them but sadly no.

My cat used to eat them at first but now I have to crumble it up and hide it in her food. Not sure if it is doing anything but noticed her coat is much softer.
