Also it best not to run the inverter at max Rating power rating. **Q: Can this be used to power a house when there's power outage?** A: Hi, i used this item to power up a party bus, there are televisions, 8 recess dimming lights, led lights, dj controller, laptop and a few other items that are powered up with no problem. I'm pretty happy with the product. I don't know what size your refrigerator is or how much wattage is burned consistently from it but you should be able to power up the basic necessities. Maybe you can turn off all lights and electronics and plug in fridge until all items are cooled and alternate between using different items as such. I personally would not run a direct connection to the house but i would use this item in conjunction with dry cell batteries to create a power source inside the house. The use of drop cords to power lamps, floor fans and more items would work perfect with this item. We had to go to a car stereo installation company to get the correct ends for the wring and to home depot to get wire thick enough gauge to handle the amount of current this inverter carries.
