Review: The game itself is 5 stars. At least on my iPad it is. You see, I bought this collector's edition as, well, umm, a collector's edition. I'm not going to open it. It'll go in one of several airtight bins I have with the hundreds of other games I buy, mostly from desertcart mind you, that I haven't opened either (I learned from the NES days of yore to buy two of everything- one to play and one to stash). I had to reorder this item through desertcart three times (SSBA), and each and every time, the Terraria boxes themselves arrived mangled. Keep in mind that the UPS shipping envelopes they arrived in were structurally intact, without a blemish on them, each and every time (just in case you're wondering, I couldn't find this item anywhere else locally). One of the Terraria boxes, number 2 of 3, arrived in such ridiculous shape that I started laughing out loud. It literally looked like a car had backed over it repeatedly and then fed to a hippopotamus. I've got pictures. I called desertcart CS after each delivery, a total of 3 separate times, and spoke with 3 separate CS reps and 3 Senior CS reps to try and identify the problem. They told me they were very sorry and would contact the "proper channels" to get this fixed immediately. Sounded like stock- read off a flow chart-answers to me. Okay. Whatever. They were all very nice and I got a $30 desertcart credit. But by this time, I neither wanted nice nor almost free, I just wanted my game to arrive in "New" condition because that's the condition I bought it in. I ended up keeping the first Terraria because it was the least damaged of the three. Ironic, yes. desertcart is an awesome one-stop shopping bazaar. They have great products at great prices, and CS and return policies are top notch. That's why I've been an desertcart Prime member for several years now. But lately, desertcart's shipping has suffered. This isn't an isolated incident. I've got many stories similar to this one. I hope they can get it together. Get back to the days when I could order from desertcart and forget it, arriving perfect every time. These aren't those days. Review: This version is a hybrid which is more like the PC version with better controls. It has the graphics style of the PC (the Xbox 360 version was horribly zoomed in.) This version has the WII U pad control implemented. Which provides a 2nd screen for inventory, map, and an action zoomed view to assist with dig, building, crafting, or fighting on the touch screen section using the stylus. This helps greatly when building something inside of fighting with the cursor while using the joystick. So structures that are built are more robust. So far I like this version the best. The best graphics next to the PC version, decent controls- with aid of the 2nd screen. While I liked the PC version. The controls sucked. My 2nd favorite version is the very portable PS Vita version that has similar features as the WII U. This copy is a decent Used desertcart warehouse deal for $22.00 , which was in very good condition without any scratches.
