With the volume set to less than 50% it is loud enough to fill a family room with decent quality sound and it also includes all the features I have seen advertised on much more expensive units - USB play/record, bluetooth, echo, AVC and will play lots of CD formats, . We had music playing from CD+G disks and streaming from YouTube via Bluetooth in no time at all - very easy to set-up. The disco lights on the front are a really nice touch and the form factor of the unit is also great, not to mention the price. Microphone is fairly quiet but that's not always a bad thing! Disc that comes with it has very little on but as it's Bluetooth there's lots available on YouTube if you have a phone or tablet to pair it with.
