Hydraulics Reservoir 3L

The design is intuitive and trail-ready and also like other viewer said "that the The rigid backplate keeps the shape flat and low-profile inside my backpack, which prevents bulging and makes packing simple." It didnt flop side to side. I used it for the outdoor concerts and occasional 2-3 hour hikes no problem. PBA free is big especially during summer hiking you really don't need the plastic taste in the water. Good quality from reputable brand is no brainer. No complains. perfect.

I was going on a twelve day Philmont hike and wanted to have a good-sized water reservoir. Besides the Osprey brand name, I really liked that this reservoir had a hard plastic backing to it. This allows you to more easily shove the filled reservoir into a fully loaded pack. I had 70L Osprey backpack completely filled with stuff for the trail and would stuff the full reservoir into the pack. It only leaked one time. Initially I assumed there was a hole in the bladder. But I took it out, filled it with water, then tried to make it leak by squeezing it. But nothing came out. My conclusion was that my backpack was laid flat (or slightly inverted) which make the water leak out of the top. After that, I made sure my backpack was either slightly or fully elevated. No more leaks after that. I also liked the reservoir had a slide-off "cap" on the top that was attached to the reservoir with a plastic "string." So you didn't have to ask, "where did the cap go?" That's usually me. Lol. Very good water flow and the ability to "turn off" the water flow at the spout. Came with magnet to attach the hose to the front of your pack. I abused this thing for 12 days on the trail it performed exactly as I had hoped. Recommend it highly for longer treks.

This is an excellent hydration bladder with a perfect bite valve. With other replacements I had to order the bite valves separately since the default ones had a high resistance. Osprey includes a high-flow easy-to-clean valve. The sliding clip fill mechanism was new to me but it works flawlessly. Once closed it will never leak! That is in contrast to various replacement bladders with a round fill cap. These would invariably leak at the most inopportune time. One time while driving to a hike I found the entire reservoir leaked out into my coat!!! Not going to happen with the Osprey. If you are reading reviews to decide then go no further and buy this one. You will be pleased. (I have no relationship with the seller)

This is my third one of these. 3L is plenty of water for a longish mtn. bike ride. They keep shape and fit Osprey packs well. The down side is the soft "rubber" part of the mouth piece cuts or tears pretty easily. I thought I was being too aggressive biting down when trying to get a quick gulp while busily trying to make a steep climb etc. but even being careful mine tore after about a year. This results in an annoying drip that ends up on my legs or chest etc. If you shut the valve off it stops the drip but you can't ride with it that way. By the way I keep my reservoirs really clean so i can use them more than a year.

I really appreciate the quality of this bladder specially with the stiff back it makes it easier to slide in and out of your backpack. And the quick connect makes this super easy to use. I do wish that the mouth opening was a little wider specially when cleaning, I do recommend picking up there cleaning kit. It is made out of a very flexible material, so i was a little concerned at first but after many trips and having a bear vault pressing up against it for many of my trips I was no longer worried. Tip: if you get down to the very last of your water and you find it hard to drink or there's not enough in your backpack to put some pressure on the bladder, blow air into the mouth peace. This will fill your bladder with air giving you back some water pressure. This works with all bladders.

Easy to fill. Lays nicely in pack. Easier to fill when in pack if able, but still can slide in after filling pack. Easy to clean and no odd taste. Strong and durable. Bite valve works great and on off keeps from leaking. No leaks at all and worked perfectly on my 6 day Grand Canyon back country hike. Love it and would buy again if needed. Will recommend to others.

Ich bin sehr begeistert von dem Teil. Sie passt perfekt in meinen Rucksack, die 2 Liter sind absolut ausreichend und die Verarbeitung und Qualität sind einfach top. Was den Geschmack angeht, kann ich nur sagen, dass es natürlich ein bisschen nach Kunststoff schmeckt, aber wie sollte das auch anders sein? Das hat man ja immer wenn man Wasser aus einem Kunststoffbehälter trinkt, aber es ist nicht störend oder eklig! Die Befüllung ist auch super einfach. Das Mundstück ist für mich das absolute Highlight. Es öffnet sich im Mund durch leichtes drücken mit den Zähnen und ansonsten ist es 100% dicht. Der Magnet am Mundstück ist sehr stark und so ist das Fixieren während der Fahrt auch super easy. Also von mir eine absolute Kaufempfehlung auch weil "kaufste billig, kaufste doppelt" Ergänzung nach einem Jahr Nutzung: ALLES immer noch TOP!!!

Osprey water pouch for osprey cycling back pack. Good 2L size and great fit. Highly recommended product. To kill the plastic smell use little bit of fresh lemon in the water.
