These have become my favorite bulb for replacing older incandescent and worn out LED floods. They just work and don't call attention to themselves in the process. Be sure to pay attention to the color balance so you don't wind up mixing one color balance into an application using another. It's noticeable.

These matched the ones I had bought for my kitchen many years ago. I had kept one of the boxes when I changed from CFL's to LED's so I could find the same ones if I ever needed more. When one when out, I scanned the original barcode and found these, I bought a pack. The appearance and color temp were the same as the others in my kitchen. I'm that picky. It has to match, and it did.

Purchase: Sylvania 65W, 800 lumens, 2700K (soft white) BR30 flood lamp. Use: Over kitchen sink. This product is no longer being carried in the Big Box stores so I was happy to find it on-line. Most of the 65 W flood lamps in stores are just 650 lumens and I wanted the 800 lumens. The 5 star rating is based on the last one I purchased that lasted 9 years. I can only hope that I get similar life from this new lamp. Note that the advertised 22 year life is based on 3 hours/day usage. My use was probably double that.

Bought these to replace Phillips 65W incandescent floodlight for pot lighting. They are an exact replacement for quality of light - warm tone, not harsh. Occasional "blink" at start-up when room temperature is cold, but no flickering issues or buzzing. Have tried to use them on a dimmer-controlled circuit and they do flicker intermittently so would not recommend them for that. Not shipped box within a box so some bulbs were damaged in shipping. Check them carefully for bent bases. Damaged bulbs were promptly exchanged. Now, a year later, two of the bulbs have quit. Rated for 25,000 hours and they probably saw 400 hours service. So, good lighting but not a great savings.

I purchased these to replace bulbs from another manufacturer that made an annoying humming sound. These ones work perfectly. Very happy

My house has 16 of these bulbs, all of them a soft, warm colour. Recently, I purchased a 6-pack of "soft" white bulbs from Amazon, to replace one of my warm lights that had died. Unfortunately, they were far from the warm colour that matched the others and were, in fact, quite blue in cast. I went through all my various bulbs, none of which matched, and then dug the discarded warm one out of the recycling. I barely made out some of the codes and writing, but it appeared to be a Sylvania. I bought a pack of two Sylvania's and whew! these are actually that soft, warm colour that I and others have been looking for. I guess there is a difference between "soft" and "warm" - something that I wasn't aware of. (I know "daylight" is a stark white colour.)

I really like the warm, bright light. Used over the sink in our kitchen. Good value.
