My Chihuahua barks at everything and anything and would get my Maltese worked up. I was hoping that this item would help decrease their barking, especially during our walks since their barks were embarrassing me and making my neighbors give me dirty looks.First of all, if you have a small dog, this product is going to be fairly big on them. The only way to adjust it is by the strap which was quite long and it just hung unless you did extra ties around their neck. Also, even if you put it really tight around the dog's neck, it still moved around. I didn't want to choke my dogs but this thing just didn't seem to fit well around their little necks and stay in place.Second, the alarm would not always go off when they barked, but it definitely went off if they shook. Also, when it did beep due to their barking, it just beeped and beeped and it became a combination of two dogs barking and beeping at the same time..maybe after a couple of beeps the system would "shock" them, but it wasn't enough to stop them and they just went on and on.Finally, I was expecting more from the packaging. The item comes in a small box with barely any information on how to put it together or how to use. I had to figure it out myself, which was not hard because I knew that the strap went through the item, but it took a while for me to figure out that the little bag with 4 small "coverings" were supposed to cover the metal "spikes".I tried it for 2 weeks straight having them wear it at every walk and around the house. I am sad to say that it didn't help. At least now I only have to deal with 2 barking dogs during my walks instead of 2 barking and beeping dogs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally a stop to the barking!! *by O***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2016* I bought this for my deaf 15-lb, very furry terrier. I did not have to shave his neck. He can't hear the warnings, but as soon as it gets to the vibrations, he quits barking and comes inside. This was a wonderful investment! I should have bought it years ago. It's a little tricky to adjust it, but once you get it adjusted, it stays in place without loosening. I cut about 3" off the end, so there's plenty of length if your dog has a thicker neck. I have it set on "3", as "2" was not quite enough deterrent for him.
