Genuinely great product
I bought this as the hit nights in Dubai have always given me sleep problems. But from the first time I used this, it was simply brilliant. Easy to set up, quiet (I was expecting it to be loud) and kept me comfortable all night. Would recommend. Itโs expensive (almost egregiously so) but itโs been money well spent.

BONUS FOR DADS!
OK, let me start with the surprise benefit for dads with young kids. If your kids are like mine, they sometimes crawl into bed at night to cuddle with mom. Well, after they fall asleep, they forget about mom and migrate over to the human hot rock (aka dad) to stay warm. One kid likes to lay on top of me, another likes to stick his cold hands and feet under my back to stay warm, and they both kick the covers off of both of us. Well, I observed something interesting when I started using the ChiliPad...my kids stopped using me as a hot rock. The ChiliPad makes my side of the bed cold, effectively creating a toddler force field that keeps them on mom's side. Well worth the price just for that! As for my sleep, the ChiliPad is very easy to use and does exactly as described. It only takes a few minutes to cool my side down and I'm not waking up overheated. Set up was simple and I don't feel the pad at all. It does a good job keeping my side cool without affecting my wife's side. It makes some noise but we already sleep with a fan on so we don't hear it. I have definitely seen an improvement in my sleep and have recommended it to a few friends. The only negative, considering the price, is the minimal control. I found that I initially fall asleep best at a low temp but would wake up cold around 2 am, so I keep it a few degrees warmer now. Chilipad lets you set one temperature for the entire night but does not have something as simple as a "cool only" or "heat only" mode (at least that I could find) that would allow me to cool my bed to say 58 before bed, set it to 64 when I lay down, and then let my body warm it up slowly to 64. Instead, the unit's heat kicks on and immediately warms it to 64. An adjustable timer would also be nice to turn it off about an hour before waking when the body is naturally warming up. Again, the control issue is pretty minor but I think it is reasonable to expect a bit more at this price.

It works
This thing is ridiculously expensive but I think it might be worth it. I have a queen bed but I got the twin size because I don't need the entire bed to be cold, just where I'm sleeping. I am perimenopausal and have been waking up overheated and sweaty every night. It's so gross. I can't be changing my sheets in the middle of the night all the time and doing that much laundry has to be an environmental issue. In desperation I bought this thing. I used it for the first time last night and not only did I not wake up sweaty and uncomfortable, my toes are January chilly in June. I'm going to have to turn it up a little for tonight! The true test will be when my period comes because that's a whole new level of fire, but so far so amazing. It does have little wires running through it that you can feel when you're laying on them, but it was easy for me to get used to. There is some noise from the machine but it blends right in with the white noise from the fan I always have running so it's not an issue for me. If you sleep hot and it's a problem, I recommend.

No good: noisy, rough, and non-uniform temperature
Mixed feelings, the pad kinda works, used for about a week, i got easier into deep sleep but the side effects of using it made me return the product: - i have a very good mattress, the pad on either side complete destroys the experience, as it is rough, as it has tubes to circulate the water, they will become stiff as the water flows. - the temperature was not exactly uniform, some parts of the body were warmer. i guess physics... - because it is rough, i found myself turning a lot more than usual. my mattress is very high end, copper infused with memory foam. i bought it to minimize the turning, the pad nullified that - noise level is terrible, you get used to it, but because of the roughness of the pad, i was waking up to turn, and ended up been harder to go back to sleep because of the noise. most youtube videos i watched, basically what the algorith offers you anyway, do not talk about comfort, temperature uniformity, offset the mattress qualities, noise level. specifically noise, nobody talks about. this is just my experience, maybe the youtuber are right for most people, but not for me. at $700, it is definitely not a good buy. i would pay $1,000 if it was quiet, soft, and with uniform cooling. hope that helps you.

Good with caveats.
Chills the bed and heats the bed well. Nice leak free connectors. Remote control works well. CONS: 1. Definitely over priced for what it is. 2. Slightly on the loud side. If you can hide it deep u see your bed the noise level may be ok for some. 3. Longevity is questionable. Has a short warranty. Needs a 8 year warranty at least. I could see this thing breaking in about 2 years. 4. Water reservoir is vented so periodically you have to add water. 5. Water reservoir is vented design so you canโt invert the unit to dump out the water. Manufacturer sends a special adapter to remove water. 6. Packaging is way over done. Extra expensive multiple cardboard containers plus gimmicky shear bags. Packaging screams โthis product costs an extra $100 just because of the box!โ 7. Power draw is around 150 watts in cool mode. So 8hrs per night will cost around $5.00/month in electricity

Game changer for hot sleepers
I never post reviews but I had to on this product. The chilipad has been a game changer for how I sleep. I absolutely do not sleep well if I am hot. I looked at many different products and honestly was worried about not liking it and spending a lot on it. I found my perfect temperature at 62F. Yes, I sometimes feel the tubing but it is not bad at all. I sleep wonderfully.
