And why ? Please.** A: I learnt the hard way that a toaster is a toaster. Love Smeg brand and bought kettle and toaster. Kettle broke (luckily within the warranty period so got a replacement - twice I might add as the second one broke too), toaster broke shortly after warranty so did not get a replacement (toasted one side of bread then blew my electrics). Was really annoyed as if i pay 5 times the price for a kettle I expect it to last 5 times longer! Won’t be buying Smeg again as much as i love it’s look, not worth the money for me. **Q: Where is this made** A: Smeg is an Italian company founded in 1948.
