It is a little darker than my hair, which I love but it is super natural and soft. You can use more pressure to create a darker line or you can kind of feather it lightly to create a lighter shade. The hair strokes it makes mimic a natural hair stroke. I actually keep the pen even when it seems like it is out of product because I feel like I can still use it to create a light shadow. If you don't want to spend the money on microblading and want the look of microblading, this product will do that for you. Looked good but a little too dark on me. I just received my 2nd order and this time I got the light brown and it is perfect. My only complaint would be that they dry out quicker than advertised. But overall...very happy! As I have gotten older my brows are getting thinner.
