I purchased Klein Tools VDV812-606 connectors for RG6/6Q and Cables Direct Online 100ft White Quad Shield RG6 Coax Cable. The Klein Tools stripper prepared the cable perfectly, and the tool made perfect connections. Incidentally, I had never used compression connectors before. The length of travel in the tool should be sufficient to handle most, if not all, RG6 compression connectors. I bought some Belden connectors that were supposed to be suitable for RG6 quad cable, but the cable end of the connector was not as wide as the Klein quad connector's. I returned the Belden connectors and had great success with the Kleins. After cutting away the jacketing with a Klein radial coax cable stripper and peeling back 3 of the 4 shields with the flathead screwdriver on my Swiss Army knife, the inserting of the stripped cable in the Klein connector is fast and pretty much goof proof. You have to apply some force when inserting the cable into the connector, but after you push a dozen or so it becomes natural. Crimping the connector with the Klein compression tool (VDV212) takes 2 or 3 seconds: 1 to 2 seconds to verify the alignment, and 1 second to crimp. **Q: Need help getting the right connectors. What indoor connectors work well with this. What weatherproof ones also.** A: Almost any compression type of connector will work, the good point to this tool is that it adjusts for the slightly different lengths in the top line outdoor waterproof types and the indoor types, that are a little shorter. I buy my connectors at Lowes if I am in a hurry, or online at Amazon or Ebay for a much better price. **Q: made in USA?** A: I have one and it says "Made in China or Taiwan" on the packaging. **Q: Does the connector need to be snug and tight inside the slot for an ideal crimp?
