With these I can zip through the 16 wires to cut fencing to make custom tree truck cages for new tree establishments. And at the end of the day I have almost no hand fatigue. I first bought from Amazon a $26.53 pair of swagright cutters by Hit that are outstanding, I leave them in the shop. I carry these less than 1/2 the price cutters in the woods, they cut just as well. **Q: Will this cut through a small wooden craft dowel? I assume that if it will cut metal it will cut wood?** A: It will cut through a 1/4" dowel but might not be the best tool for that task. I used various other methods to cut the cable before it arrived. First used an angle grinder then a deemed tool. Finally got the tool and it was so much better and easier to use.
