## Description

The Harris Vortex 24-inch Above Ground Sand Filter System is the perfect way to filter your Above Ground pool! Offering remarkable performance for its size and cost, this Above Ground pool filter features a high-tech 7-position dial valve with a flange clamp that allows for full 360-degree rotation. A perforated plastic locator helps distribute pool sand evenly without getting into the stem pipe. The maximum pressure of this filter and pump system is 40 PSI, with a flow rate of 50 gallons per minute. Tank filters approximately 24,000 gallons of water every 8 hours. This filter requires 300 pounds of #20 Silica Sand or 150 pounds of ZeoSand. The system operates at water temperatures from 32°F to 113°F.

Review: Works with our Doughboy brand pool just fine! - We have a Doughboy oval 13,000 gallon pool. We inherited it when we bought our home 5 years ago. After consistent pump and filter issues last year with the existing system, we purchased this system to replace it. We did need to purchase some extra hose adapters to make our existing in wall skimmer and return work with the pump, but it works MUCH better than the old pump and filter. We have also used our Barracuda automatic pool vacuum with the Harris system with no issues. My only (very minor) complaint is that there is no on/off switch on the pump. To turn it off to switch methods on the pump, you have to unplug it. When you’re backwashing and pumping to waste for only short periods of time, it’s kind of a pain (especially with wet hands). Honestly, for the price on desertcart vs what the local pool store was going to charge us for a comparable system, I’d buy this again in a heartbeat. If any issues come up, I will add to my review! We are one month in of 24/7 use and have had zero issues (knock on wood!)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works with our Doughboy brand pool just fine!

We have a Doughboy oval 13,000 gallon pool. We inherited it when we bought our home 5 years ago. After consistent pump and filter issues last year with the existing system, we purchased this system to replace it. We did need to purchase some extra hose adapters to make our existing in wall skimmer and return work with the pump, but it works MUCH better than the old pump and filter. We have also used our Barracuda automatic pool vacuum with the Harris system with no issues. My only (very minor) complaint is that there is no on/off switch on the pump. To turn it off to switch methods on the pump, you have to unplug it. When you’re backwashing and pumping to waste for only short periods of time, it’s kind of a pain (especially with wet hands). This filter pump is a beast. Our pool is 8000 gal, We struggled with cloudy water and sediment on the pool floor that seemed to never go away. After hooking it up, in 24 hrs, the water was clear. After 48 hrs, the water was crystal clear and anything on the bottom was gone. It was amazing. We wished the motor came with an on/off timer, but that’s ok. The clear water is worth it.
