It was naturally processed from the Southern Utah Red Cliffs. Having moved away I now buy it from Amazon. It has never made my face breakout, but if you don't wash it off your face each night, it will stain your white pillow cases. After letting my children run up and roll down the red sand dunes, I just added a little bleach to the wash and it came right out of the white's. As makeup, If putting it on sparingly with a soft feathered brush, it gives a nice suntan year round. Also great used as eyeshadow and with a little moisture, a natural lip color or lip liner. I personally love it and recommend it highly.
