Review: It's a very helpful book that helps you to look at everything from another, way more relaxing perspective. I noticed that my overthinking drastically reduced and I live more in the present moment, hence I feel more relaxed and in the present moment.
Review: I purchased this book after attending therapy with my husband for his intrusive thoughts, and the therapist suggested Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so I thought I would try to read up on it to see how I could help him at home. This book was very helpful in understanding what causes intrusive thoughts, getting to the root of them, and how to help stop them. The book guides the reader through an exercise called, "What Does It Mean?", which I was able to guide my husband through after reading it once, and we were able to identify the root fear of his intrusive thoughts, and I think that really helped him realize the thoughts were not true, but his fear was guiding them. I'm able to remind him of this every time he is struggling, and it really helps. The book also identifies other ways of dealing with anxieties and fear, such as religion, spirituality, and behavioral therapy. I think overall, this book is very useful for understanding anxiety, depression, and fear, even though I only used a small part of it. I recommend it to people who want to understand and help loved ones!

If you really want to learn how to wrestle with depression and anxiety and WIN! You need to read this book. You need to learn and apply the tools it gives you. Its not a one day thing its a lifetime of work in order to truly be better. I also recommend you listen to different music. Exercise more, seek counseling and be open about your condition. You don't have to do it alone or go through it alone. You have resources along with this book. Use them and you will see results. The book is easy to read and understand. Again, you must do YOUR part in order for the tools to really work for you and With you.
