For the price, this thing is awesome. The attachments are nice, and make it easier to not damage whatever you're mounting. I bought this to use with a fiber laser, and it should work fine for my use case. If you need something with ultra precision, this isn't it; but neither is the price tag.

I was surprised how convenient this vise is for under $11. It's an all metal base (aluminum) and perfect for holding small PCBs or for phone repairs. If you are not using the clamping blocks, the holes are perfect for holding soldering Iron tips for my Pine64 iron. It's also just generally handy for holding anything small you have. Mine came with all the holes correctly drilled no issue. I put a little dry lube on the large threaded rod. This is a great budget vise, and I can't see it breaking over time except for the tiny plastic parts but that is expected. Don't hesitate, this is great for hobbies. If you get one that is defect, just send it back, that happens on these low cost items. I was just lucky that mine came perfectly drilled/tapped.

It's obviously not the most high quality vice in the world, but for a cheap 10$ mini vice, it does everything it's supposed to and has plenty of clamping power. A bit rough around the edges, but overall a decent little vice that's simple and easy to use.

I needed a small mountable vise for my rc crawler hobby. I cut my own tire rods and such, from bar stock. I was using a soft plastic clamp to hold the tube, but it always came loose. I saw this small vise for about $10 and bought it. It is the perfect size for my needs. It is also very durable. I added some lube to the jaw area and on the threads to make it operate more smoothly. The included plastic pieces allow you to hold various shapes of material. I use mainly round tubes but, it can hold square and oval stock as well. There is also a small vertical cutout, to hold stock in a vertical position. I secured the vise to my workbench with 4 screws. This vise holds all size bar stock that I would ever use in the hobby. Great quality vise at a very reasonable price! This is a nice tool to have.

Very inexpensive, however, since I only work on watches occasionally, it does the job. It is made of a die cast zinc alloy which surprised me as I was expecting it to be all plastics. The faults are: (1) The threaded holes that hold the jaws were not threaded deep enough for the screws supplied. (2) Th jaw screws are very soft. (3) The threaded portion of the vise slide to the clamp screw is very loose. (4) The slide itself is not very well fitted to the vise body and moves around a lot. I will correct those items in time. If you want better pay more and get one. If you are just wanting something to work for a short period of time, purchase this.

I sent this to my friend as a gift and she loves it! She says it holds her items in place perfectly when she’s working on crafting and art pieces! It’s not overly heavy or big either. She uses it to grip pieces of wood or metal while attaching other pieces. She’s been using it about a month and it shows no signs of wearing down yet. She said she’d highly recommend it!

We purchased this vice to hold small jewelry pieces to be drilled with holes. They must be drilled underwater, and we have had success with this application/use! We just dry it out well after each use so it doesn’t rust, etc. It holds odd-shaped items tight with the included notched plastic attachment, and works exactly as described. Seems fairly durable, and hope to have this simple tool (that we paid a very low price for), helping us out and making life easier for many years to come! Well worth the price we paid for it, to not have to hold something during drilling! Anything to remove fingers from a potentially unfortunate situation lol. Highly Recommend this little vice clamp!

Good inexpensive cheap Vice for Home hobbies. Do not use any garage or work environment. Bought it to use on laser engraving items.

This is very useful for holding small odd shaped items for repair work or drilling. See the attached image example with reading glasses. Note that some tidying up of the screw holes is needed plus the main tightening thread needs lubrication.
