The Fallacy Detective has been the best selling text for teaching logical fallacies and introduction to logic for over 20 years. "Can learning logic be fun? With The Fallacy Detective it appears that it can be. A fallacy is an error in logic a place where someone has made a mistake in his thinking. This is a handy book for learning to spot common errors in reasoning. - For ages twelve through adult. - Fun to use -- learn skills you can use right away. - Peanuts, Dilbert, and Calvin and Hobbes cartoons. - Includes The Fallacy Detective Game. - Exercises with answer key. Review: Gem - This book is a hidden gem. My kid references things learned from it constantly. Not only that but the kid was eager to using the workbook and discuss answers during grading. It is an excellent addition to any child's studies as it will open their eyes to how some people utilize fallacies for persuasive purposes. Review: Enjoyable for a wide range of readers - I bought this for my mom, per her request – she really enjoyed it! It’s simple, and probably easy to approach even for someone in fifth through eighth grade, but adults will find plenty to get from it as well!

Pretty good. Some of the answers were confusing.
My family did this together and it got kinda overwhelming near the end. I do think we learn a lot from it, but it could have been a little simplified. Sometimes the author’s being funny or cute made things more confusing.

Good book for adults too
Easy to read and get through. Some fallacies tend to be super nuanced so the simple explanations help.

Perfect introduction for a logic stage grade 7 youth!
We used this book for my grade 7 child - as we are a new homeschool family and I wanted to introduce him to the idea of logic. He loves working his way through it. The book is funny and fun, and leads to great discussion. I have learned a lot as well, and enjoy browsing through the pages. Highly recommended!
