We have 2 parakeets in a pretty good-sized cage, and a single parakeet in a separate cage (that’s a little smaller), and I try to change the lining in both cages once a week. Is is safe?** A: If you fold over edges, it is an absorbent paper, but there is an edging in plastic, I would not want my budgies to be able to eat.
