Battle Systems Gaming Mat (Grassy Fields, 3 x 3)

I use this mat every time I pull out my Five Parsecs from Home solo skirmish RPG game! It's perfect! It is not quite 3' X 3'. Mine measured 35 3/4" X 35 3/4". It did not matter for my use, but if you need a mat that is exactly 36" X 36", this is a little short. The print on the top side of the mat looks really well done with vibrant colors for the grass and duller colors for the dirt and rocks. It makes it look very geniuine. It rolls up nice and tight for easy portability. We'll see how the durability stands up over time, as it is a little thinner than I had believed it would be. Overall, I think it is a good value for the cost.

Great mat! I was trying to figure out if it was version 1 or version 2 from the item description. It most resembles version 2, but not exactly. Maybe it’s a version 3? In any case, it looks great! Very vibrant colors, but muted enough to not mess up the miniature terrain I plan to add. Mine was purchased through an Amazon 3rd party seller named “Your Hobby Place” (recommended!). It came rolled up in the manufacturer’s plastic bag, and they bent and folded this roll a little so that it would fit in a box, and shipped that way (see pic). I was worried that this would cause folds and wrinkles, but no. It came open with no problems. Mine had no creases, folds, or any apparent defects. It is not exactly 3x3, but I knew that was a possibility going in. Mine is close to 35.75” x 36.25”, but that’s no big deal to me. Also, the neoprene itself is pretty thin. It’s better than having no backing at all, but would be nice if it were a bit thicker than this. Regardless, it’s still a great mat. Looks really nice! It’s going to work well when I set up for the next game of “Don’t Look Back”.

the grid marks are 100% nonexistent. Otherwise it's a solid mousepad material gaming mat. I got lucky and didn't get one of the folded and creased ones.

I bought as a gift to my 7yo nephew who likes to build “bases” and stage battles. High quality print on a nice non slip base, but I wish there was another option for more thickness. Probably great for card/table/board RPGs, but would love something thicker as a kids play mat: my idea was that this could be placed on rug/carpet to smooth out the surface for his figurines. That being said, it was definitely the best option for what I was looking for! Some reviews mentioned creases/rippling from poor packaging, but mine came nicely rolled with a plastic wrap in a long box that kept it pristine.

There are no white dots. Not even subtle ones. Not even with a magnifying glass. The mat does look good; however I bought this model precisely because it advertised one is apart white dots.

Bought for my son who loves to play with plastic army guys!!! He can throw it in his bag to take with him. He is very happy and I’ll probably buy at least one other terrain pattern.

Size is accurate and the image quality is great. My only gripe is the mat itself is a pinch thin. But it lays flat and the rubber underside keeps it from sliding around. It has a good weight to it was well. The surface is smooth but not slick. Great mat and I would buy more.

Very fast delivery. Matt is like a very thin mouse matt material and much better than the other plain material or printed card options out there!
