I run through software on my laptop and into this head, into a 4x12 cab.The controls are simple and responsive, and it's very clean. The construction is top-notch, it feels like a tank but is so light (especially compared to a "normal" head). Plenty of power, and the pre-set EQ curves and useful both for finding a tone and for feeling out the range of the amp.I was a bit leerly of cutting over to a laptop + class D head after years of a much more traditional setup; but I figured -- "Why be limited to the tones I can AFFORD?" In my opinion, nothing else compares.Thanks- ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Light-Weight, Powerful & Versatile *by S***I on Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2017* What a wonderfully useful piece of gear...it can be used to drive guitar or bass cabinets. The Toneblock 201 is light weight, well made and very flexible. I use it myriad ways including driving my Axe FX II through two guitar cabinets and straight through a tube preamp with effects...it's wonderful in both setups. The addition of both the Tri-Q and Hi-Cut circuits, along with the voicing control enables me to dial in the sound I'm looking for with surprising ease. Also, the addition of an effects loop is very useful. About the only thing I could find to quibble about is that the analog distortion tone doesn't overwhelm but this is very much to be expected. Hence, I rely on outboard gear for those sounds. For the money, it's hard to find something more convenient, powerful and flexible...I don't have any 4x12" cabinets on which to test but I'm sure the Toneblock 201 would handle them with ease.
