Cooks very quickly and efficiently, with enough space to feed 4 people for one course before adding more meat, it looks very cool indeed (I call mine ‘The Black Pig’), that’s to say aesthetically pleasing. Arrived with a few ‘dinks’ from the cast-iron grates rattling around during transit, but not a real issue as the box is very sturdily constructed out of actual sheet steel (‘sheet’ happens, haha!), not the horrible, bendy, Chinese Cheese-type garbage alloys many grills are now made from. Also, the slide for the coals works very well once oiled, and is supremely practical. No problem seasoning the grill either, (no damage to the finish at all!), it just takes a bit of patience, however, those of you, in Europe or the UK, used to thinking in Celsius should be mindful that the maximum temperatures allowed for seasoning are in Fahrenheit in the instructions …it’s an American thing… if I had one criticism of sorts, it would be that I miss having a thermometer on my grill, just as a general guide to monitoring the cooking temperature as you go along- but I might just recycle the one from my old grill, and take the risk of drilling a hole in, what to me, is a near-perfect design. Credit where credit is due- this is one of those rare products that really deserves a good rating and review.
