Jim Dunlop Flow® Gloss Pick 3.0MM - 3 Pack

These picks sound and feel great. They are great to hold. They produce a nice full sound. They have a good edge for faster picking. I play mostly funk, blues, country and jazz. My go to picks are the shredder 3mm chickin' picks. For my needs chicken' picks are my absolute favorite but these are a good 2nd or 3rd place pick. Definitely worth a try if you're on the fence. At $5 for a 3 pack they're reasonably priced. I think a lot of guitarists underestimate how much a good pick helps your tone and playing. I love a nice thick pick and these fit the bill. Highly recommend!

Im looking for picks that are perfect for shredding, and these looked great! But my experience here is that the tip is actually pretty fat, which is really not good if youve put in the work to develop a very tight pick attack. True, they glide off the strings like butter, but when theyre about as thick as butter, its not a huge help. Recently i bought some ibanez pjtc1’s, and DAMN thin tip, nice bevel, very durable, good size, perfect shredders pick. So all in all, im really just dissing the pick for being fat Update: week or so later, i slowly found my self coming to this pick over my others for who knows why, but it just kinda happened, and now this is my favorite pick for shredding! Fat tip is fine now, its just less precise for string skipping

I imagine all of us change up picks from time to time. I was a Jazz III XL guy for years. I still have a soft spot in my heart for the Jazz IIIs. But, these things just feel right and sound right. They feel like home and produce a meaty, dark tone on my wound rounds that still give me the shivers. Initially I thought I would have a difficult time holding on because of the smoothness. But, there just enough curvature to them to be very comfortable and easy to hold onto. Very good picks!!

This pick is a beast. I’ve tried dozens over the years, but the Dunlop Flow Gloss 3.0mm gives me the cleanest, most precise attack I’ve ever felt. It glides off the strings with zero resistance and somehow still gives that satisfying “snap” with every note. Whether I’m shredding leads or chugging riffs, it holds up without wearing down. Might be overkill for strummers, but for technical players? Chef’s kiss.

These are now my favorite picks. They are great for shredding, and they are real easy to hold on to when your hands start sweating. The grip is good, but not as good as the normal Dunlop flow 3.0. I would give 5 stars if they didn’t cost half my kidney, I would say that the normal Dunlop flow 3.0 is best if price is a factor.

...Near instantly revealed their greatness! I did review the 2mm already; regardless, it's important to note, the thicker pick was something I had to get used to over time with my electric guitar. When I decided to go with the 3mm, the thicker pick was not something I was unaccustomed to — so, if you are used to say ...a 0.88mm pick only, there's a good chance you might hate these (hopefully just at first...). With that caveat out of the way..., these 3mm picks will unlock your Beast Mode! And in Beast Mode, speed, precision, power...they all benefit. After the first few days, I was playing faster than I thought I'd ever be capable...& that's no gimmick, no exaggeration, no attempt to sell product, & it is not a joke — that's absolutely sincere. There's something about the tip of these picks, combined with the high gloss, & the force through of the thick pick, that Tremolo picking, for instance, I know I can hit 1/16 notes; indeed, I would bet I can hit 1/32 notes. Now, this did not come without some change from the norm though. For instance, a two-finger grip isn't likely going to cut it — these will fly halfway across the room if you're pushing your limits with a two-finger grip. Instead, I use three fingers; the pick is held by my thumb & middle finger, & my index finger sits on top. I use my index finger for support, but also for articulating the pick's relative orientation — for example, my standard play, I will have the tip angled in slightly toward my wrist. When I need to play extremely fast, I take the angle off & then twist the pick to about a 30° angle perpendicular with the strings. This is all guitar blasphemy for the purists, but I don't argue with the results...(?) So, I do recommend giving these a chance, maybe starting with the 2mm. Expect some time getting used to them, & some time breaking them in. The Gloss of the picks when striking the strings causes a slightly fluted sound. But, after a short while, that noise will disappear. There's a real chance you'll hate them at first too; but, I'd say give them some time because they really are awesome for an electric guitar. They're made from some type of polyurethane, so they are pretty durable & I personally think they are a good value for the money.

Yeah these are great for shredding an everything in between. I was buying V Picks and they just have so many different ones and useless customer service so I just went with the the Dunlops everyone seems to love and they hit the spot. 3.0 mm feels great and glides across the strings. I use it sideways on the round ends and it's perfect. As a go to pick that is cost effective and plays perfect It's hard to get anything other than these Dunlop 3.0 mm flows for the money. It's got a nice finger indentation to further secure the pick in you fingers.

Feels great in my fingers for playing bass. Huge tone difference between these and thinner picks I’ve tried, these are my go to choice for now on!

Love it! Learning to play electric guitar, I have to learn to pick gently but with precision. This thick pick is great for either strumming or picking since it is firm and pointed.
