**Q: Can the status LED be configured on the SoloCast?**
A: The status LED behavior on the SoloCast (eg. LED on when muted versus LED on when unmuted) is configurable via a firmware update. Please visit our support page for the appropriate firmware update for your microphone.

**Q: Which third party boom arms / mic stands can be used with the SoloCast?**
A: The SoloCast comes with a built-in dual threaded mount hole allowing for use with both 3/8" and 5/8" thread sizes, accomodating most mic stands / boom arms on the market.

**Q: How long is the USB cable that comes with the SoloCast?**
A: The included cable is 2 meters (~6.5 feet) in length, USB C on the side of the microphone and USB A on the system side.

**Q: Is there a way to keep the SoloCast muted between system restarts or default it to mute?**
A: The SoloCast will default to be unmuted when it first turns on. The mute status is not stored within the microphone, so it resets on power loss. This can also occur when the system enters Sleep, depending on how your system is configured.

**Q: Is the SoloCast compatible with Xbox systems?**
A: The SoloCast is not compatible with Xbox systems. The SoloCast is officially compatible with PC, PS4, PS5, and MacOS systems.

The HyperX SoloCast is hands down the best budget mic out there. Its listed price is around ₹5,500, but during sales like the Big Billion Day or Amazon Festival, you can grab it for under ₹4,000. I got mine last year during a festival deal, and it was worth every penny. The mic delivers exceptional audio quality—so good that even some ₹20,000 microphones can’t match it if you know how to use it properly. However, it doesn’t come with built-in noise cancellation, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Luckily, you can easily fix this with software. For best results, I recommend using Audacity (add treble, avoid extra bass) or Adobe Audition. Place the mic about 15 cm from your mouth for clean and professional sound. Even if you’re not a sound engineer, this mic is perfect for normal recording, streaming, or online calls. Overall, it’s a fantastic budget-friendly choice with pro-level performance if used correctly.
