For a while I thought I was just clicking it lazily and/or some sort of software tweak but after getting a diagnostic check on the mouse events being fired (a link provided by the manufacturer) it has now been determined that this thing is bad. :(When I contacted the manufacturer it appears that beyond 2 years I'm on my own - which is fine and all, however for the premium I paid for this mouse one would think they would want to make their most evangelistic customers happy when their hardware clearly fails however it would seem that I'm going to have replace this thing now, knowing that it's certainly defective.I've owned dozens of mice over my 30+ years in computing - this was by far the most exotic and specific and was truly helpful for the vertical design however I've NEVER had a mouse (specifically a wireless one) die in 5 years of something like an intermittently defective mouse button.To me this can only indicate sub-par componentry not in line with industry competitors as I've NEVER had Microsoft or Logitech go bad in a manner like this (I've owned MANY of both).Was nice while it lasted but to me the quality of expensive accessories is #1 - I'll gladly pay up for the fancy (whatever) - in this case, a Mouse - but it had better work, for damn near... forever.If you're okay with a less than 5 year lifespan - have at it.-----------------------------------UPDATE: Manufacturer is at least being helpful and seems willing to offer a discount on a new one (I'll update if it happens) - I MAY give the newer (D) model a shot - I don't think I would however buy another of the exact one model (C) I have currently. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Too fragile - All it takes is just one drop.... *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2022* This mouse is very fragile and does not handle drops well at all. I've broken two of these and decided to move on to a competitor. I've dropped the competitor several times with nothing more than a scratch as a result - I work from home, using a standing desk, but I've dropped mice walking up stairs/down stairs as well as from the desk. You may have a more stable (safe) work setup, but with this mouse, all it takes is just one drop, and you're done. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Save your wrists! Get one, they are amazing with some caveats. *by K***A on Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2019* Some things that most people don't think about is that your wrist when in a neutral position, such as shaking a persons hand or running, your two forearm bones are in a none overlaped orientation to each other.When you are palms up or down this causes your shoulder to rotate, and forearms /wrist to be in a stressed position (the bones cross each other).Only within the last few centuries humans have put ourselves into this situation of unnatural positions.When you are typing flat or using a standard mouse this causes the a very unnatural position. Think even about writing a letter , and the position you hold a pen or pencil, a very natural position and none stressed.This mouse helps overcome some of those issues and puts your wrist in a non-stressed / non-overlapped position. It's helped my wrist and shoulders a ton over the last 8 years as I continue to upgrade to the newest Evoluent products. This newest generation is my favorite and I've ordered 1 for home and 1 for the office.I will say that each product lasts about 2-3 years before it starts acting up, and this causes me to upgrade each time because customer service isn't that great. I continue to do so because how great the product helps me from a health stand point but I hate the reliability issues.This new generation has a well known squeaking issues that can be solved by putting some mineral oil in the joints. Very annoying for a $100+ mouse! But , as I mentioned earlier, it helps my shoulders, helps my wrists, so I continue to pay it.Another issue is the short range from the USB transmitter to the mouse, if it is too far away it will drop quickly.
