The non slip rubber base is a welcome upgrade to our old slippery steel bowls. They look and feel great and stack nicely on our open shelf. I would say they are stable on counter tops. I do NOT think they are tipsy as some may have mentioned. It's a bowl shaped item so they are never going to be as planted to the counter as items such as pots.
