The product photo shows that all batteries are LR44 (same as a 357) Does the real product have the assortment as specified?

What is in the package is: 10 x AG3 392, 10 x AG4 377, 10 x AG5 393, 10 x AG10 389, and 10 x AG13 357. I do net remember exactly what tey advertised but there are 5 types in the package.

what battery assortment would be good for just repair watch(es)?

I have used just about each size in this assortment for various clocks, watches & lights. Most common is LR626. The numbers on the package have corresponding numbers which you’ll have to look up. Example: AG4 & 377 are the same as LR626. AG13 & 357 are the same as LR44.

Are the selection of batteries the most popular?

I have used many of the batteries for various small devices, but there are some that I do not use. However, with the price being equivalent to purchasing just a couple of the primary batteries in a store, the fact that some don't get used is not really an issue.
