Review: Really good PHP book - This is a good book that covers a wide range of PHP related topics including language specifics, design patterns, unit testing, databases and frameworks. It's not necessarily a beginner reference, but I don't believe that is its intention. It's still a very accessible text and I learned a lot from it. It will get you up to speed with modern PHP technologies and best practices.

This is a good book that covers a wide range of PHP related topics including language specifics, design patterns, unit testing, databases and frameworks. It's not necessarily a beginner reference, but I don't believe that is its intention. It's still a very accessible text and I learned a lot from it. It will get you up to speed with modern PHP technologies and best practices.

Not detail enough. I have to guess what the author means. Typing codes following the book cannot get the results. I like to save trees but I don't like to buy a book without enough explanations. Not recommend for the beginner.
