Afterward, I also bought the glow in the dark version with the glowing hands and numbers on the black face. The glow in the dark clock slipped off the wall hook and fell. The face cover cracked and broke into pieces. It sure seems like glass to me. Very sharp edges. I removed what remained. The other clock with the white face seems more like an acrylic but I'm not going to drop it to find out. Fortunately the glow in the dark clock seems to work fine without the glass face cover, but I feel stupid for not being more careful. For a moment, I considered sending it back and claiming that it was broken when I received it, but it was packed much better than the other and that seemed very inlikely...and that would be lying, so I'll live with my mistake. **Q: Where is this clock made in and design by whom** A: The clock was designed by our team in New York. It is made in China. **Q: How thick/deep is this clock (wall to front face of clock)? I need one that is very thin.** A: The clock is 1-7/8 inches thick as mounted on the wall. So, depends on your idea of what is "extremely thin". I have it mounted on a wall diagonally next to a window and it does not appeal to be obtrusive. The adjoining wall has many mounted photographs (professional) so the clock does not stand out at all.
