Assemble each state individually; I used the 8-1/2 x 11 light cardboard backs of writing pads for each. Do the same for each color, joining states and areas as appropriate. Next, assemble the state flags at the bottom. Note that they are in alphabetical order. You may now work on the bodies of water, noting their names and the lines of latitude and longitude in addition to the relative positions of holes and tabs. Finally, assemble the borders, using the latitude and longitude numbers and the hole and tab positions as guides. When assembling a state, refer to the package map to place the cities and state names properly. I'll be buying another copy of this puzzle to help teach a child geography; it's a fine and fun way to learn.
