Review: Great boxed set for the series. Picture/sound quality perfect, but dubs/subs wildly inconsistent. - Purchased in November 2025. No digital code, got it for $100 on sale. So far I've ripped through 5 seasons, I'll edit this review if I run into any other issues later. But for now? These are solid Blu-Ray releases, up to six episodes per disk, generally 5GB to 6GB per episode. Picture quality is great, good as 1080p gets. Audio is 5.1 AC3 (Dolby Digital), which is what I'd expect from a television release (no expectation of some crazy TrueHD remaster). So far the only bad I can say is that the non-English options are WILDLY inconsistent season to season. So if that matters to you? Be warned. I was excited when the first two seasons had Spanish audio and subtitles. Also had Portuguese, and even Japanese subtitles. Then the fourth season was English only, and the only non-English subtitles were French. Come season five? Portuguese is the only second audio track. What? Not that it's in Portuguese; I know plenty of people worldwide speak it. But that it's the only available alternate language, when I'm certain a Spanish dub exists. It just feels like they grabbed these files from random sources to master the discs from, with no concern for consistency. Like I assume Season 4 was the Canadian release (French), and then Season 5 was Brazilian (Portuguese). Just weird. We'll see what happens as I get through the rest. But again, so far through five seasons the English-language product is PERFECT. The boxes themselves are...meh. I'm not gonna complain though, because I know tradeoffs have to be made to fit 50+ discs into a reasonable amount of shelf space. They've shrunk 15 seasons down to a very, very reasonable footprint. I flipped through all the cases, and no loose discs, so I'm confident nothing will be damaged. I do recommend doing the same with ANY big DVD/BR boxed set, don't want to wait six months to find you have a damaged disc from shipping and are outside the replacement window. This is one of the most campy, funny TV series I have ever watched. I had to add it to my home library. There are really good seasons and many not-so-good seasons. You love the characters so much you don't care if the monsters are ridiculous or the writing isn't so great sometimes. I love that there are so many directors. You just don't get bored. You could tell the cast and crew were family. That shined through in every episode. Buy this set.
