My stand/sit desk is white and has a cable management system (read, tray) that is also white and I needed a strip to plug monitors and other electronic devices in to that didn't stick out like a sore thumb, as do most black or dark colored strips I had come across. Aside from the interior design side this strip is really a thing of beauty with its LED on/off indicator, the 4 USB power ports and it general design...and it came with a 10' cord. I needed to run a fair distance from the cable management tray to the wall outlet and this really did the trick. I do however wish they had an option for a 15' cord as it would have given me greater flexibility with my cord run.
