Are these rollers safe for use with solvent-based paints?

They can be used with solvent based paints. We used them when putting on Tnemec 1095/25/zinc systems. They work pretty good. Towards the end of the day they will start to shed a little sometimes but not half as bad as most other blister pack brands (ie masters and others) you can get at the paint store. With that said none of these are ‘solvent resistant’ products but personally I have never really wanted to fork out the extra cash when you can get something cheaper like this that will preform likely just as well.

Can it be used for epoxy?

I'm sure it can, but you may want to use a 3/8 nap for epoxy. These are 1/2 inch nap.

Does the microfiber cover the end or is there a plastic cap on it?

The microfiber covers one end of the roller. No cap.
