The ear hook is a big though. **Q: what material is the earpiece?** A: The inner piece is made of a real sturdy plastic. The outer ring that would secure to your upper ear is made of a softer rubber type material. I use it for hours at a time and there is no discomfort. Ive gone through multiple ear pieces and this is by far one of my favorite ones so far. If you are running it does have a tendency to fall off. **Q: Does this work with midland Ltx500PA?** A: Yes **Q: Will this work with midland gxt1000p radios?** A: As long as your walkie has the two connections for earpiece plug-in they will work fine. So I gave it to one of my coworkers, it fits her perfectly. She says it works wonderfully, and doesn't pop off her ear at an inconvenient time.
