However, they are mostly waterproof. I have used a water brush over them, for watercolor. I wrote on printer paper and immediately ran under a faucet and the ink didn’t bleed or run. I was able to cause slight bleeding but only when I scribbled a thick line of ink and then scribbled on top with a water brush. There still wasn’t a significant amount of bleeding or running of ink. This only slightly blurred my lines and not enough to affect image.
