I also take medications that cause me to have constipation. Stool softeners do not work. Some laxatives work too good. This one is almost on the works too good side of things. The first time I tried it, I had severe cramps. The second and subsequent times there hasn't been much on the cramps. I think the first time was because of the severe constipation. I now take this once a week. It's not too harsh that way either.
