It can get wet but it will not revert back to a liquid state. I have used it on ribbon and it had gotten wet, but it did not harm the glue. Hope this helps. **Q: Can this glue be used to attach an older doll wig that is loosening? Is it save for childrens dolls?** A: Yes. It's what many people use to attach doll hair. However, I'm not sure if there is ANY glue that is safe for children to put in their mouths, so keep this in mind. **Q: Can you use this glue to glue gripper slippers to slippers made with yarn?** A: I would think so. **Q: Can this be used for basting like Roxanne’s glue baste?** A: Yes, if a temporary adhesive is desired that washes out when laundered or soaked in water, Original Tacky Glue should work. Aleene's No Sew too. ## Frequently Bought Together - Aleene's Original 3PK Tacky Glue, 4 fl oz - 3 Pack - Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky, 4 FL OZ - 3 Pack, 12 - Aleene's 3 Pack, 8 oz Tacky Glue, 8 FL OZ, Original Version 3 Count --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/263565194-original-3pk-tacky-glue-4-fl-oz-3-pack](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/263565194-original-3pk-tacky-glue-4-fl-oz-3-pack) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
