You don't have to worry about remoulding it while your mouth changes with braces. I like the grooves that clip on to your top braces so it says in place. I tried it for field hockey and it wasn't for me. I kept choking on my own saliva cause every time is would seep out the breathing hole it was impossible to retract. I felt like a slobbering dog with a muzzle. Just a slobbering mess that couldn't be heard properly. Also, keeping your mouth slightly open for more than an hour is very uncomfortable. I'm sure this would be good for a non verbal, lower impact sport.
