The materials and finish both feel good, and it’s noticeably nicer than the ultra-cheap options without getting into premium professional pricing. I’m not in construction and don’t use every feature these framing squares offer, but for casual woodworking, layout work, and setting up cuts it’s been great. One thing I’ve learned is that starting a project even slightly out of square just compounds problems later and leads to frustration very quickly, so this is not a tool I’d recommend completely cheaping out on. At the same time, I also don’t think most hobbyists necessarily need the most expensive professional-grade square on the market either. This feels like a really good middle ground between affordability and quality.
