Excellent product when used by directions. Different types for different weather conditions **Q: Title says type 2, description says type 1. Which is it?** A: I received type 2. **Q: does the hole have to be 1-1/2** A: No. I drilled 3/4 inch holes. However, I drilled more holes than was recommend because of the size of the bit I had and the thickness of the concrete. I was skeptical. I was taking out a stoop that was about 10 inches thick and constructed with quality concrete that contained a lot of river rock as aggregate. It was tough!! It took almost 24 hours to work due to the very warm conditions. Be patient! It will work. I was amazed. Be careful not to drill completely through the concrete. The latest slab that we used it on was 12" thick and it had a 24" turn-down edge around the perimeter of the slab. We drilled the slab at the directed spacing on the horizontal surface and we also drilled into the thickened edge at an angle using the same spacing and applied the Ecobustt at those areas as well. The product performed great on both areas. You'll want to be sure to select the proper temperature range and product type for your project, as the only problem that we've had when using it, was when the temperature actually went down lower overnight than it had been forecast to, and it caused a delayed breaking of that particular slab. You'll also want to be mindful of where you leave any leftover material and what it's sitting on or adjacent to, as the product does get very hot as it sets-up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy demo without a jackhammer *by A***3 on February 23, 2024* This product is easy to use. It does a great job of breaking up concrete. It makes it super easy for anyone to use. I used it to break up some uneven concrete at our house. We didn't want to use a jackhammer as it's really hard on the body. This product is easy and anyone can use it. So I pulled out some old fashioned feathers-and-wedges and split the rock up into pieces. Maybe I had the wrong temperature rating? Maybe I should have waited 2 days? Hated drilling those massive holes in high quartz granite. Shook the life out of me. The teensy tiny pin wedges we're much easier to prepare (tiny holes, cheaper bits) without any mess and now the job is done.
