Review: Incredible Felt Durability & Rock-Solid Bounce! - I’ve played with dozens of tennis balls over the years, but the Wilson US Open Tennis Balls have quickly become my go-to. From the first serve to the last point of a long rally, these balls deliver exactly what you expect from an official tournament-grade ball: premium feel, reliable performance, and serious longevity. The standout feature for me is the felt durability. Most balls start to fuzz up, lose their bite, and feel ""dead"" after just a few hours, but these Wilsons stay remarkably clean and responsive well into their third or fourth match. The felt grips the strings beautifully, allowing for consistent spin generation, and doesn’t shed aggressively like cheaper alternatives. I’ve easily logged 6–8 sets of serious play out of a standard 3-pack without noticing any drop in performance. The bounce consistency is exactly what you’d want from a ball used in Grand Slam play. From the first bounce to the last, the height, speed, and trajectory remain incredibly predictable. There’s no deadness creeping in during long rallies, and the pressure-regulated core keeps the ball lively without feeling overly bouncy or unpredictable. Whether I’m serving, rallying, or playing on different court surfaces, the ball responds exactly as expected. Beyond felt and bounce, the overall construction feels tournament-ready. The seams are tight, the rubber core is uniformly dense, and the classic Wilson branding doesn’t interfere with visibility. They also hold their shape and pressure well in varying temperatures and humidity. If you want tournament-quality tennis balls that actually last, bounce consistently from point one to point fifty, and give you the same reliable feel match after match, the Wilson US Open ball is absolutely worth the extra money.
Review: The gold standard for a reason - There is a massive difference between the US Opens and pretty much any other Tour or Championship ball. They’re more expensive than many popular Championship balls, but Ive found the price to be in line with other Tour balls, yet these are easily the most consistent ball straight out of the can. The felt holds up great, and they maintain a solid, predictable bounce for a few sessions instead of going completely dead after one set (or dead out of the can like some other brands). They feel great on the strings and I’ve never had any issues with unexpected variances in size and weight (which I can’t say about other balls). While it’s disappointing that the price of these has crept up a bit over the years, they’re a must for any tennis player that is serious about their game.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellently sturdy tennis ball.
*by M***7 on September 28, 2026*

Did a very good job for the rear frame of my rolling walker. These tennis balls are of high quality and not as easy to apply as this 78 year old lady originally thought. I was the one using the walker before and after hip surgery and it took my son-in-laws strength to get the balls placed on the rear legs once they were sliced with an “X”. But they worked great once on there… no scratches on the hardwood floors and no drag while using on paved sidewalks outside. I used that walker all day for 4 months and those tennis balls still look brand new, so for this application, I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing walker aides or a tennis player wanting a durable ball that will surely last for years playing tennis. They are more than worth the price paid.
