You do have to have two hands free to operate it effectively, so the work piece has to be clamped or attached to an airplane. You can set the depth of the hole you'll drill at the front and quickly change from bit to bit as needed. The tools were well made but one of the drill bits had a stripped screw and would not screw down properly into the main unit. I emailed the company and they promptly sent me a new drill bit (1/8" one) and the one I needed to use. All old rivets for the job drilled out cleanly.
