Review: Faster and Quieter than Original, Not an Easy Install for a 1990 Silverado - Purchased to replace a window motor in a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado single cab. Original motor lasted 30 years. This kit has everything you need to install it in multiple vehicles and the harnesses are of very high quality. This is not an easy repair for this truck. The entire door trim panel and inner metal door panel have to be removed to replace this motor which is riveted on the inner metal panel. Make sure you have a dremel, angle grinder, or drill bits that can handle getting the very sturdy old rivets out. The hardware included is perfect for this vehicle except for the screw head height under the motor for one screw hole. I didn't modify it, I just tightened it way down and it works quietly and perfectly. Definitely lubricate the window rails with grease, spray lubricate/grease the door lock linkages and door striker assembly (which fixed my door locks not fully locking/unlocking), and consider replacing the window rollers while you are there. You don't want to go back there again!

**Q: is this fit the driver side?**
A: By the part number yes it is

**Q: does this also fit the drivers side passenger window (four door car)?**
A: According to other websites it appears the front and rear driver's side windows use the same motor.  So this should fit/work.  Now in my experience with this motor, I had to cut away part of the plastic frame because of interference and it did not exactly fit.  But now I have a working window again.  I used a Dremel with a cutting disc to get rid of the interference on the motor.  The original motor does not have that extra plastic that I had to cut away.  It did not affect the operation of the motor.

A: The one I purchased specified "driver side" in the title & description.

Was pretty straightforward to remove and replace with this working motor. It includes a couple of adapters (i assume fit a variety of vehicles) and took no time to install. Everything lined up perfectly. You do have to get a little creative now with the adapter adding a little more length to the cable now, but nothing too crazy. Most importantly the window works again.
