The Solenoid opens and closes a valve on the compressor. Just make sure not to run the air line next to anything sharp or hot enough to melt it. **Q: What size fitting is it?** A: ARB uses an 1/8 inch BSP fitting - just called their tech line. Amazon sells BSP to NPT, I went with Viair who sells 2 for $11. **Q: How did you install the part. the threaded end inside the solenoid doesnt wwnt to turn and the rntite unit cnanot rotate as it hits the arb housing.** A: Not sure what to tell you. The threaded part DOES turn inside the main housing.
