I'd guess it stays very hot for maybe ~90 seconds, then hot for another ~2 minutes, and then warm for another ~8 minutes. Very disappointing. I haven't tried it in the freezer. **Q: Why does it smell like amonia fresh out of the bag?** A: I don't think it has an amonia smell, It has a oder of some kind but nothing offense. It certainly helped my sore elbow. **Q: How long should I freeze this ice sleeve before using?** A: No matter how long you freeze it, it won't stay cold for more than 10 minutes. It is cold enough out the fridge, but putting it in the freezer is much better. Far better than an ice pack but the only down side is it warms up a little quick but they say you should only have it on for 15/20 mins but I would like more.Well worth it for elbow or knee though as it gets really cold and covers all the way round. Definitely buying again.I have a 14" bicep and slim wrists and the medium fit perfectly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helps with tennis elbow *by B***S on 7 June 2024* Helps when you can’t stop working (work with food, so need my hands) & need some sort of relief, was advised by physio to use the sleeve for tennis elbow whilst continuing to work as I can’t take time off to rest it. It is a life saver, I pop it in freezer before I head out the door & take my flex bar for exercises & bio freeze with me. Re freeze every 2 hrs for 20/30 mins. Instant pain relief with this too on the flare up days. So easy to wear & use, doesn’t annoy me.
