A solid USB-C-to-USB adapter

Works with my android phone (with symmetrical shaped plug) but disappointed that I can't turn the display / screen off while using it on my tv like I can with Spotify and with anything on my laptop... but that's not the product's fault. My old computer couldn't update to use Netflix on it anymore. Works with my new mac computer. I like that it doesn't light up or flash at all! (But disappointed there's a red dot on corner of tv screen when using hdmi cord to hook up to computer -- but I'm pretty sure that's the computer's fault.) I really wanted to try an adapter that wasn't a cord at all with multiple types of outlets but felt iffy from reviews, stuff like 'it always has a light and is draining power even when computer isn't awake' -- so I went for this for now. I like that it's just a little cord to adapt it, without a box thing hanging off, seemed like that could cause problems or be more annoying.

Doesn't work for SurfacePro 9
I assumed since it worked for older Surface Pro models that it would work for the Surface Pro 9. Either the device I have is defective, or it isn't compatible with the Surface Pro 9 and my TV. The computer recognizes the adapter but the seizure-inducing image only briefly appears somewhat on the TV and no sound is transmitted. I tried with a different, better HDMI cable but the result was the same. Updated on April 1... While this device doesn't work with my SurfacePro or any HDMI cable, it does work perfectly fine with my wife's MacBook Pro so the probably probably lies with the Microsoft product. I've upgraded my rating.

Bought this as a gift--
I bought this as a gift for my brother. Purpose/use: MacBook Pro USB-C to hdmi for mirror mode. It works great-- as he told me. *I tried it to make sure it worked before giving it to him-- attempts with 3 of my Samsung DeX devices to no avail. Not even using HDMI screen mirroring instead of DeX. But I suspect that it is my devices and the fact that I root them. JSAUX is top notch quality for the price. I have MANY cables, connectors, wiring solutions, multiport adapters and converters, all of which are superior in quality, durability, and cost in the respective categories. Would definitely recommend and I have, do, will continue to... Thanks for not building cheap junk droor electronic devices JSAUX. A+

Definitely works!
I use this to play movies from my phone on either my tv or projector. It works well and I have zero complaints! I love the value for the price I paid.
