Remote did not work. ### ⭐ A media player that looks better on paper and struggles to stream. *by S***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2016* The Q Box Android TV Media Player should be a lot better. On paper the specifications should be more than sufficient for streaming but in reality it is beset by problems.First the positive - as a media player (for your existing content) it works okay. The box is also rooted so you can sideload apps (apks) should you choose to do so. It is small and looks okay (but does get hot).Unfortunately there are a lot of negatives. The interface imposed over the stock Android one is not customizable without using another app to complete re-skin it. That would be minor if for the fact that the preloaded apps are not the most stable or usable. Whilst Kodi is a great idea and a lot of people have dedicated a huge amount of effort to it boxes like this do it a disservice. As unfortunately do the less than legitimate services that come preloaded. The auto updater for Kodi does a great job of destroying your settings and chosen add-ons.If you want to use this box for genuine services (Netflix, Hulu and the like) then you might be fortunate to get a better one than me because my box struggled to stream from any legitimate site and after several attempts at fixing problems I had to conclude that the box is at fault. You can spend a lot of time trying to fix it, checking your connection (wired or wireless) and still find you constantly encounter buffering problems and outright stoppages (even on a proven 30mbps connection). I was forced to do several hard resets with absolutely no improvements.The boot up time is relatively slow, worse is the constant problem with the clock and date settings (it should pull them from the internet but frequently fails to do so and won't remember the date and time if you set them manually and turn it off).This is not the only media box I've tried. I was disappointed by Roku and have yet to try a Fire TV but for me I would have to caution against this one. ### ⭐ Not good when you buy this as a gift *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2016* As previous person stated, remote control didn't work.
