K & N official website says this model filter fits a 2014 Subaru Outback. The seller here on Amazon says this filter does not fit it....?

Anybody try this in a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek? Did it fit and is it worth the extra cost?

I have it on my '16 Crosstrek. I noticed a little better mileage, and a slight bump in HP. It's also easy to clean and I never have to replace it

Is this filter run dry or oiled?

Hi, it uses a proprietary fine oil that is sprayed onto the substrate filter material you can clean the filter with they're cleaning spray and water allowed to dry and then reapply the oil about once every couple of years.

Is this filter pre-oiled? Is it usable out of the box or needs to be oiled before installing?

It is pre-oiled, you just drop it in after take it out of the box, then you should inspected every 15-20000 mile to cleaned an re oiled with Original K&N cleaning/oiling kit(about$10) and last forever.
