## Description

Product description

Review: Works very well for Trigger Fingers and they are comfortable and adjustable. - Handfix helps during the day to support my hands to keep my fingers from curling into my palm. At night Handfix makes sure my hands do not make tight fists and saves me so much pain. They have given my trigger fingers a rest and my hand are much less swollen. I actually turn Handfix supports around so the long part goes up the finger at night and down the palm during the day. You can type with Handfix and the only suggestion I would make is how about skin colored ones or fun colors. I do wash them in mild soap from time to time and dry with my hairdryer. I highly recommend these little braces.
Review: Read why this is the BEST splint for TRIGGER FINGER ! - Here's why this splint works better than the others. It's unobtrusive. It's brilliant design won't let your finger bend enough to get stuck in the trigger finger mode, yet it does give it ability to bend slightly. That slight bend is just enough to be able to type on a computer. I've tried other traditional splints and this is the only one that you don't have to remove in order to type. The design of this splint makes it that the bulk of the splint is actually in your palm, not on the outer part of your hand ( FYI, I have small hands and it is not the slightest issue that it's by your palm. I don't notice it at all, it is 100% comfortable). Why is it good that it's not noticeable? Because you can walk around without the splint being the first thing people notice when they see you. Before I got this splint I wore other splints and I was always asked what happened to my finger. With this splint people almost never even notice it, or if the do, they almost never ask about it. It kind of looks like you might just have something in your hand or on your finger. It doesn't stick out, it doesn't look weird. It just does it's job quietly. Also, with other splints I had to remove them to put on socks because they got in the way. With this one I don't. Same thing with using an oven mitt. Another big plus of this splint over the traditional type of splints, is that it lets your finger breathe. Might not sound like a big deal, but if you have your finger in any of the other traditional splints your finger eventually gets funky. Wearing a splint, any splint, for trigger finger is far better than getting an operation, or getting shots, but it is a long term commitment, or at least in my case. You have to let the underlying swelling reduce enough that your finger doesn't get stuck in that trigger position. With that said, it's far better to let the skin on your finger get air, as this splint allows. A little trick I use- sometime i will turn the splint so that instead of the straight rigid part covering my palm, i flip it so that it is under my trigger finger ( still on the inner side of the finger, meaning the side that doesn't have the finger nail). Sometimes I do it just because it gives me a little more support for the finger, if I am generally having a painful arthritis day, and all my joints are achy. As you know, with trigger finger you need to wear it to sleep. While none of the splints were a problem to sleep with, and they all are better than the pain of waking up with your finger bent, this splint is by far more comfortable. This splint as all the others I tried is easily adjustable to fit your finger. This one uses velcro. I must say, it is very very comfortable, I don't even know I'm wearing it. Other splints have left me with red lines where the two sides meet, or have felt tight at times. The only negative for all splints, is removing them when washing your hands, doing anything wet. I don't like the feel of it when it is wet, though it doesn't effect the product itself. As a matter of fact, every time I do laundry I throw the splint in with the wash. I put the splint into a little mesh bag, something like a "lingerie" bag, only because I don't want the velcro to catch on anything else in the wash. I usually don't write such extensive reviews, but I wanted to help my fellow trigger finger sufferers out there. I always appreciate desertcart reviews when I am looking to make a purchase, so this is my way of paying it forward. If this review helps you, and you decide to try it, I am sure you won't be disappointed. It's priced a bit higher than other splints, and I know when I myself was trying to decide which to get, I was reluctant to get this one, especially because it was so "different" than the others. It really works. And no, I did not get this for free to promote it, I wish I knew how people did that. I personally have bought 2 of these and am spreading the word, because of how well it works for me.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made, great symptom relief, not necessarily a 'resolution of trigger fingers'.
*by L***E on February 19, 2016*

A couple thoughts on this product. It seems well made, and holds up even if it becomes wet - it also dries relatively quickly. It does not unconditionally cure trigger finger. It does, however, provide relief because it prevents that finger from curling tightly enough to move the tendon to the point of catching. However, and this is important, it can actually aggravate the condition if the finger is used for tight gripping with the splint on - the firmness of the splint creates resistance and gripping against that resistance stresses the tendon that is inflamed. The best way to think of the splint is as a aid - to prevent unintentional tight closing of the finger, and as a reminder to avoid stressing the finger. I used the splint regularly for over a month. It's important to adjust the velcro strap so that it is not too tight, as this restricts blood flow. To be comfortable, I adjust it so that is almost wants to fall off (but doesn't). Finally, it will catch when you put your hand into a pants pocket or try and manipulate certain kinds of ordinary objects, so keeping it snug enough but not tight makes it easy to slip off before performing those actions. I've slept with it on, which prevents closing of the finger at night, when the catching and discomfort is often the worst. I rated this product 4 stars for quality and relief of symptoms. I did not rate it 5 stars because the product description includes indications that it will resolve trigger finger and prevent surgery, and that is by no means guaranteed. The progression and resolution of trigger finger is different for each individual, with or without this device.
